Profile Information

About Me:
I am a mother of three; Mister 15, Ashly 13, and Blu Ari 1.
I am a SW major, working toward my Bachelor's degree at UDC; and, an independent consultant, with a focus on Organizational Development for independent, local and federal government agencies as well as non-profit organizations.

I am a former DC Government employee. I worked in the Mayor's office through two Mayoral administrations. I served as a Special Assistant for the Office of Neighborhood Services out of the Office of the City Administrator; there, we coordinated services among all 40 local government agencies to improve the conditions of the neighborhoods from Wards 1 through 8. Neighborhood cleaning, and recycling, were among many of the activities that we organized. Today those services are still on-going.

True Story: One Man's account of Earth Day

Earth day began for me in 1972,
saw the large yellow can with the red sign
in the bottom was green goo..
but, it didn't matter to me,
I did what any little boy would do,
I played anyway.
Twenty-three years later,
The strongest person in my family died of bone cancer,
and I still keloid severely as ever.
Now, I go into those neighborhoods today,
and warn little boys and girls
of the dangers in playing with that large yellow can with the red sign
and the green goo at the bottom.
This is what Earth Day means to me!
