True Story: One Man's account of Earth Day
Earth day began for me in 1972,
saw the large yellow can with the red sign
in the bottom was green goo..
but, it didn't matter to me,
I did what any little boy would do,
I played anyway.
Twenty-three years later,
The strongest person in my family died of bone cancer,
and I still keloid severely as ever.
Now, I go into those neighborhoods today,
and warn little boys and girls
of the dangers in playing with that large yellow can with the red sign
and the green goo at the bottom.
This is what Earth Day means to me!
