Hey Ilkin, I really like your web page and your poem.

Profile Information

About Me:
I was born in a country that does not exist - the USSR, where red, and not green, was the most popular color. Where people were diverse as the nature itself, in terms of religion ethnicity, and mindset, yet united in their outlook on life and abhor of the West.
The environment, however, was not on any country's agenda at that time, and common detest of the West was driving force behind the arms and space races, which in return for world dominance produced enormous amounts of nuclear waste and toxic bi-products, and to be honest with you, up until these days, nobody knows where all of that is buried! However, it was all in the past, now Azerbaijan is an independent country and not part of the Soviet Union anymore. It stretches from the shores of the Caspian Sea to the footsteps of the Caucasian Mountains. And slowly, the environment is becoming the government's concern, which makes me happy, and I think the more this topic is mentioned the stronger it is going to echo in societies collectively and people's minds individually.
My Home Country:
Azerbaijan
Organizing an Earth Day Event This Year?
No - But I'd like to participate
My Environmental Interest(s) (Climate Change, Solid Waste, etc.):
Climate Change and how it affects conduct of international affairs by states. Nuclear proliferation and toxic waste elimination.
What would She say?

What would the Earth say to the hate and abuse,
Which we proudly call our past and our glorious deeds?
What would she burst from the chest full of bruises,
As an answer to things that we did for our needs?

She would smile through the pain and clear tears,
Streaming down her wide face as the rivers we see.
She would call us beloved ones, embrace us as dears,
And forgive our sins, what a shame! Look at you, look at me?!
