Profile Information

About Me:
I’m a sophomore at the University of the District of Columbia and majoring in nursing. The environment is very important to me because it affects the lives and health of people in this nation. I would hope to learn more ways on how to save the environment and get more people involved with recycling. If people would stop throwing trash on the streets, recycle the right way, and care about our world more, we would not be in this mess. The Green Power Partnership program is willing to help people understand that what they do reflects on the environment.
My Home Country:
My Home Country is North Carolina. It's a very beautiful place, and I would hope that this nation would get involved with saving the Earth.
Organizing an Earth Day Event This Year?
Definitely - Ask me how!
My Environmental Interest(s) (Climate Change, Solid Waste, etc.):
My Environmental Interests is the climate change, the animanls that are exposed to pollution, and how it affects our world today.

The pictures that I saw on Professor's page was both beauty and destruction. The thought that the earth was once amazing with the mountains, ocean, animals, plants; is too hard to digest. The smallest things are the ones that will be in your heart forever. I just hope that the earth will get back to its old self before we humans are able to make it any worse. SAVE THE ENVIRONMENT! Hey Tanisha!
Thanks!
So, if you just go to the music upload, it will give you the choice to upload the music from your computer or from a link!
I just did from my computer, it was pretty quick and easy.
Let me know if you cannot do it, and I'll bring my computer to class to help you with it!
I hope you were able to read my stuff from the anatomy's class!
See you tomorrow!

"The world is finite, resources are scarce,
Things are bad and will be worse,
Coal is burned and gas exploded,
Forests out and soil eroded,
Wells are dry and air polluted,
Dust is blowing, trees are uprooted,
Oil is going, ores depleted,
Drains receive what is excreted,
Land is sinking, seas are rising,
Man is far too enterprising,
Fires will rage with man to fan it,
Soon we will have a plundered planet."

The Decline of Neatness
During, the times where labels were the number one faze in America there were those who challenge the fashion industry. “According to Norman Cousins the sloppiness virus has spread to all sectors of society. People go to all sorts of trouble and expense to look uncombed, unshaved, unpressed.” (Cousins 1) Society cares too much about the way they look and not about the care of the environment. It takes time, work, resources, and certain toxins to make the torn, frayed looking jeans. Do you think clothes are more important than the environment and the way it affects people around you? I leave you this question to think about.

Environmental Issues

The environment should be a place where you can breathe air, and the streets are clean. The people who live in this country should not be the only ones worried about the conditions of the environment. Organizations should be worry about how they impact this world. "According to EPA's Green Power Partnership, they are a voluntary program helping to increase the use of green power among leading U.S. organization. Organizations are encouraged to purchase green power as a way to reduce the environmental impacts associated with conventional electricity use." (Green Power Partnership,2) This program works with different organizations to ensure that they are making an effort to save our environment from pollution, and trash. Organizations can benefit from the expert advice that this program is able to provide.
