Introduction
For over two decades, marketers have been targeting the youth of America for the latest styles rather than inspiring them to succeed. It seems as though the youth of America has been foreshadowing the looks and language of their favorite celebrities, rather than the inspiration from their peers. The vulgarity of the media has become so overrated with such violence and potty mouth language, that even a blind man is so grateful that he cannot see.
Back in the old days, you were not respected for your dignity, but also by the way, you dressed. Now days it seems as though respect is just another word left undefined in the dictionary. It also seems as though in order to get respect you have to earn it. Norman Cousins (famous essay of the Decline of neatness) quoted “that today’s youth generation of America lacks the mind set of education, like manufactures cheating the materials made in their clothes.” Everywhere I go I feel like I am living in shame because in my mind, I see the youth as uprising scholars, and I get so disappointed by the way, they appeal themselves. With their brutal verbal mouths, it is as if home training does not even exist. I also get disappointed because today our youth doesn’t realize how their being stereotyped by the way they look and also by the language they speak. If everything today is based on how you look and speak I can imagine how much concern there is for the Environment.
To me I feel like the environment is another home to me, and if you know like I know no one likes to be welcomed into an unpleasant home. For years we humans have not only been stealing earth’s natural resources to help us survive, but we also have not been finding other ways to keep our beloved Earth healthy and clean. Sometimes I feel like we have not been taking care of earth like we were supposed to. Now that earth seems to be near its final stages of survival people start to become more concerned when all they had to do was seek the problem while it was at hand.
Ever thought that the things you dream would actually play a major role in helping to save the environment that we live in? It all started on a warm and sunny day of July, in my Environmental Science class. My teacher began talking about how mother Earths natural resources were constantly being taken away from her causing her too slowly to determinate. She also talked about what would happen to the wildlife and etc if we continue to let this happen. After he explained to the class about the situation he also gave us solutions to saving the environment. I wanting the attention of the class I played it off like it was some kind of joke, but deep down inside I really did want to help. I remembered sitting at home that day having nothing to do I decide to take a nature walk in the park, to see what I could discover. So I grab my light yellow jacket and a pair of brown Douche and Cabana sunshades to block the sunlight from getting into my eyes and headed for the door. As I opened the door I notice this green and coral colored bird standing right by my door step looking as if I was supposed to invite it in. I became a little applaud by the birds presence, So I closed my eyes and counted to ten hoping the bird would disappear and I could go along with my day.
After counting to ten I slowly opened my eyes, and the next thing I knew I found myself standing in the most beautiful tropical rain forest that was like no other. It had tall healthy trees with such beautiful big green leaves.
The grass was so elegant that you could just lay in it, and never think about getting up. The soil was so soft, moist and filled with such rich nutrients that it felt as smooth as a baby’s newborn skin. The air that you inhaled was so fresh that with every breath of oxygen you felt new. There were sorts of varieties of fruits and vegetables that came in all sorts of beautiful colors, shapes, and sizes. The animals were so pretty that I became quite amazed by all the diversity of each animal I came in contact with.
Even though I was enjoying myself with all the things that I saw, in the back of my mind I was still contemplating why this particular bird came to my door step. Why did this bird choose to lead me into this wonderful place?
Before I knew it I heard a voice say “Enjoy it now while you still have it because you may never have the chance to see it again”. Not only did I say to myself who could have said such a thing, but what did this voice mean by enjoy it now because you may never see it again? So as I continued to walk along the tropical rain forest the things that I once saw slowly began to vanish, and the more these things began to disappear, the development I began to see.
Then it all made since to me. Developers are coming to rain forest destroying not only the wildlife, but there animal habitats causing all the wildlife to slowly become extinct. I was so hurt by the things that I saw that tears began to slowly run down my face. Why would developers want to destroy all the wildlife, refuges, and historical monuments that exist within these places, In search for profit leaving these animals not only to run out in the streets to find a place to live, but to find food to survive? Then I thought that if no plants and animals couldn’t eat and had no way to produce, than pretty soon all the humanity life would slowly began to decrease, and mother earth would have nothing to suffer form no more.
As I turned around hoping I could find my way back to where I started from I saw all the things of the forest come near me saying save us save the environment, and the closer they came the more the flesh on their bodies started to determinate. At this point I began to panic hoping that this was a dream, and that I could open my eyes and be right at home safe and sound. As I opened my eyes the next thing you knew I found myself falling into an eternal pit “saying no I want to help please give me another try”. Then I heard a voice say “sweetie wake up you are having a bad dream”.
So as woke up I jumped of the couch and headed towards my computer surf the Internet hoping to find organizations that talked about ways towards saving the environment. I join a nearby organization called globe peace to help spread the word about the environment. Then as I looked up I saw that same green coral colored bird before me looking as if it was telling me how proud it was then it flew away into the thin air. So if there is something that you think would help save the environment don’t wait until you experience it in your dream get out and do something about it

Summary of video2
My second video is entitled “Screaming Forest”. As you know recycling not only plays a role within our environment, but it also plays a major role within our forest as well. Screaming forest is about a forest that has been loaded with pollution and is in a despite for help. As a result the vision of the forest begins to become so polluted until it vanishes out of site.

Summary of photos
The name of my topic is entitled “should recycling should be mandatory”? Here above my profile are ten images that not only illustrate the theme of Earth day, but also shows a great concern on why recycling should be mandatory. As you know our beloved mother earth has been around for millions of years and not only has she been abused of all her natural resources, but some of her resources have been turned into product waste. As we humans continue to use and abuse her she is slowly losing her health. My mission is to convince everyone why we should recycle our mother earth because without her there is no life, and without life there is no us.
