Illegal dumping, littering, and corporate pollution.

Our environment is facing a major pollution crisis as the pictures show how our streets are full of trash. People should dump their litter in trash cans provided by the city and take personal responsibility to keep their environment clean. We are littering and dumping garbage on our streets and parks.Corporations have become greedy and money driven that they are dumping toxic wastes in our waters and building radio active companies in our cities. We need need to be vigilant and prosecute people found littering and enact stricter and hefty fines for these major corporations.

The Decline of Neatness

People who like to criticize others should be able to identify the fact that the society is now carefree. This attitude is like a plague and it has affected both men and women from all walks of life as noted by Dr. Norman sessions, “The sloppiness virus has spread to all sections of society.”
The makers of designer jeans like Levi’s, Calvin Klein, and Gap have realized that jeans which look old, dirty, and disheveled is in high demand. Therefore they are making them at an alarming rate, and the competition to sell them is also high. As if this is not fashionable enough, smaller people are putting on extra large clothing and sneakers that look as if they have been chewed and spit out by a cow. This statement has been noted by Dr. Cousins in paragraph four.
The alarming changes noted in society that not only affects clothing but it has rippled over to our language and how we communicate with one another. The English language is facing erosion. For example, someone saying, “What’s up?” How should we respond to this statement?
This epidemic has boiled over to Hollywood where people who make movies, where they have adapted to using foul language when producing a movie so that they can make more profit. As Dr. Cousins says, “Writers and producers have every incentive to employ tasteless language and gory scenes.”
Human beings have become immune to violence and suffering of their fellow humans. What ever happened to compassion and sensitivity? Violence and aggression in movies are selling at an alarming rate. Now people are becoming detached from reality, in that nobody has compassion for their fellow citizens anymore.
We don’t seem to realize how much we’ve changed for the worse, and this is due to the fact that we can no longer distinguish between reality and fantasy.
The importance of the article is for us to be able to recognize bad dress, manners, speech, and bad human relationships. We need to keep hope alive and realize that this trend will soon be out of fashion.
The behavior that we are experiencing with this generation is affecting us through the environment since we don’t care. We are littering the environment and dumping trash all over the place without conscience. The fresh air that we use to breath is not the same because pollution is on the increase. Corporations are dumping all the toxic waste like oil in the lakes, therefore killing all of our natural resources. What happened to cleaning up after ourselves? Can you pick up a can of soda and dispose it in a recycling bin?
We need to stop looking at the government to solve our problem with littering and dumping, and start taking personal responsibility and become active in our communities. Let us begin to clean our community by cleaning one street at a time and to pick up our trash.
Corporations need to stop being selfish and greedy. Therefore, they need to dispose of chemical and toxic wastes properly by following the guidelines mandated by the government. We don’t need cancer and our fish don’t need to die. Therefore my fellow Americans, I challenge you to start becoming neat and restrain from being sloppy.

Major corporations for example Dickies,Hertz,Frigidaire and Lipton are being motivated by profit as opposed to having moral conscience and examples include how much they charge for an item for the consumer as opposed to how they paid for it. The government continues to protect and cover for the CEO’s who accountable for pollution so that they can clean-up after themselves and make the world a better place to live. People are getting diseases like cancer and dying from it at an alarming rate and yet the big companies have turned a deaf ear and blind eye to the plight of the common man. Michael Moore, one of Hollywood’s filmmaker has been championing for the citizens by exposing what corporations are polluting the environment and even informing people not to buy their products. He wants us to hold the corporations accountable for their actions.

Illegal dumping has become a major problem for example in the city of South Los Angeles; people are dumping all sorts of trash including furniture on the sidewalks. They are blaming the city for not picking-up trash on time hence the pile-up. City Service investigators are driving around with the hope of catching them dumping illegally but so far they have been unsuccessful. The video is informing us that in order to be proud of our surrounding, we need to throw our own trash properly and also trash collectors should do their jobs in a timely manner. Throwing trash on the street also invites pests like rodents and mice in our neighborhood.
