The Moonbeam Goddess
by Amber "V" Moonstone
5/10/08
Illuminations fetching desires
Calling beams of moonlit fires
Summoning passions that transpires
Lover''s wishes into golden empires.
Flowing embers of moonlight traces,
capturing light on Goddess faces,
rendering visions of golden laces,
that which time never erases.
Beauty beyond lover''s dreams,
The Moonbeam Goddess careens,
into cosmic symphony screams
of pure joy and passionate moonbeams!
Transcending light from her glow,

I am firm believer in nuclear power. It has proven to be a reliable source of energy in the past and will continue to be reliable in the future.
However, It needs to have good distribution over most of the populated areas and easily available to anyone. It should be a proven design with no maintenance required and last a very long time without any upgrades or modifications. There should be no waste to deal with and it should be inaccessible to terrorists for their use.
Such a power plant alrea…

The Old Tree that I wrote of in the previous positive thing to do has now died, but its spirit still lives on and the tree is now known as
Inspiration Oak. I have included here a report from November 2000, nine years after my visit. In this report you will read of a old man called Stan Foote. I met Stan at the tree and it was he who told me the trees story of all the wonderful efforts to save it. At that time there was an intensive care tent set up around the trunk of the tree. On…

The job before us is for the most part depressing and overwhelming. It seems that there is no end to the struggle to save the earth. The issues are many, from saving wildlife, addressing consumerism, recycling, energy consumption, water usage, air pollution, and the human condition that causes so much of the pollution. It is sometimes difficult to focus on just one issue without looking at all the rest and saying to ourselves, "This is an impossible task!"
Often environmentalists see the proble…

Now, on the National Park lands of the Grand Canyon in the USA, uranium mines are sprouting up, like weeds in Spring. A total of 1,100 uranium mine claims have been filed within 5 miles of the incredible natural wonder that took thousands of years to create. 5 miles from the Grand Canyon, heavy equipment, drills and corporations are churning up the landscape. They say they are doing it for the sake of the environment! (To supply nuclear power plants instead of using fossil fuels.)

The Old Tree
Once upon a time in the land of the Americas, there lived an Oak tree. The tree was born five-century's earlier and had grown so old by living deep in forests where it was cared for by the Newmans, the earth's first people, who worshipped the tree. The Newmans knew the value of the forests to be great. In them they found their food, shelter and warmth. And so it was natural t…

The rising temperature on planet earth is being caused by an increase in the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. Greenhousegases such as carbon dioxide, water vapor, methane, and nitrous oxide are trapping heat and light in the earth’s atmosphere and thereby causing the earth’s temperature to increase. Evidence of rising global temperatures is visible by the melting of the ice caps in the North and South poles. Also, the sea level has risen by seventeen centimeters during the twentieth…

IS IT SAFE TO BURY CARBON DIOXIDE TO REDUCE GLOBAL WARMING?
By
Dr. Nitish Priyadarshi
Each time you draw breath today, 380 molecules per million are carbon dioxide. That portion climbs about two molecules every year. Scientists know that carbon dioxide is warming the atmosphere, which in turn is causing sea level to rise, and that the carbon dioxide absorbed by the oceans is acidifying the water. But they are unsure of exactly how climate could alter across the globe, how fast sea level…

AN IMPOSSIBLE TASK, OR IS IT?
By Laura Sanchez-Ramirez
I talk…. I talk a lot… a lot more than my kids would like me to… I talk to mothers who now have their children in middle schools and high schools in town. That’s how I learn, because in the talking comes the listening and the sharing of a cause that has been drilling big holes in our culture today. And what is sad about it is that the issues are directly related to the most vulnerable members of our society: our children.
I w…

It's 2008! We are now living in a lazy, disgusting world, with people who don't care about the environment, or the innocent creatures who are dying everyday due to rising sea levels, and a shortage of food supply. But hey, why should we care about the dolphins, polar bears, and whales, and their constant struggle for survival? Why should we care about the pollution we produce from our big cars, cigarettes, and fires? As long as we resemble Cruella De Ville while driving an escalade up 13th st… Continue

The more I learn about Global Warming the clearer it becomes that the smallest things can make a significant difference. It's easy to forget that electricity and water are items that we actually consume because in many ways they are intangible. Although turning off the faucet while brushing your teeth will not alter your lifestyle - it would save 6 gallons of water a day. That translates to a bathtub full of water a week! According to an article by Terra Pass, a company that helps subscribers of…

Something that all environmentalists are aware of is; that they are at odds with politicians and governments. Because the destruction of the environment usually means financial rewards for the few and the powerful, governments are given to supporting the exploitation of the earth. No one understood this better than Thoreau. He was bellieved that it was not only his right , but his duty not to support a government, if its actions were in direct opposition to universal values and morals.

COSMOLOGY: DELVING INTO THE MYSTERIES.
BY
DR.NITISH PRIYADARSHI
The Universe or the cosmos, as conceived today, consists of millions of galaxies. The Universe is infinite, both in time and space. The human conception of the Universe has, however, been different at different times over the long span of history of civilization. It was around 6th century BC that man started enquiring into the mysteries of the Universe in an endeavour to rationally analyze the earthly and the heavenly phenom…
