- About Me:
- Hi-thank you for visiting my site. I am the Education Director for Cetacean Society International and the Marine Animal Survival Team, an all-volunteer, non-profit, tax-exempt conservation, education, and research organization with representatives in over 25 countries. Our goal is the "optimum utilization of cetacean resources," as called for in the 1946 Treaty of the International Whaling Commission, through the protection of viable habitat and the cessation of all killing and captive display of whales, dolphins, and porpoises. We support and promote benign activities such as regulated whale-watching, non-lethal and humane research, and widespread educational, environmental and observation programs relating to free-roaming cetaceans internationally. Our ultimate objective is the global acceptance of peaceful coexistence and mutual enrichment for both humans and cetaceans.

I was so sick to see this on google earth as i have been holidaying on that beach most of my life! If every major river in Ireland is pumping this amout of polution into sea its a horrible realization because of how small my country is in comparison to China or The States! I'm relatively new to this but feel very strong about it now and have been doing alot of reading about the environment, polution and its effect on wildlife and the planet. I can't understand why people in power allow this to happen!
I will do whatever I can....I don't have any current connections but it is summer and a good time to take a weekend mini vacation to Mexico....I'll do research before I go and see if I can hook up with someone. My daughters boyfriend speaks fluent Spanish so I'll bring him with me...!!!! :-)

I am honored to be your friend also. The price of solar is about half what is was 10 years ago. But a purchased system it is still to darned expensive and complicated to install and maintain. There will be an environmental study. I know the NRDC is part of a test study at the head of Hudson River. So far so good. All the video cameras have basicly shown that fish, large and small can easily detect and swim around an object moving at the speed of the current. Hope this works out, it is a great solution.
Speaking of solutions... what did you think about the solar energy solution for your home? It will change the entire solar industry... and then some. Basicly if you can pay your electric bill you can now afford to go solar... yeah!
